Working with a simple design from Calvin College’s Architect, our firm developed the drawings to construct the Vincent and Helen Bunker Interpretive Center at Calvin College. It is an environmentally-friendly building that encompasses sustainable techniques, utilizes recyclable building materials, and produces more than 60% of its own operating power.
It is the winner of a 2005 ABC Award of Excellence and achieved a Gold LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The nature center will act as a conduit between the public and its surroundings of Calvin College’s Ecosystem Preserve. Through its many features, it will educate people on sustainable concepts and emphasize a connection between them and the environment.
