Description
It took little more than a year to complete this 126,000 square foot manufacturing facilty for Behr Industries - despite the fact that the owner was headquartered in Germany. Despite its long-distance coordination challenges, this Design/Build project demonstrates what can be accomplished in a "hands-across-the-water" approach to a significant business venture. In designing the plant for Behr Industries, a unique supplier of interior wood automotive items for luxury vehicles, the European preference for natural lighting in the work areas was carried through with the use of translucent panels that run the length of the building.
