Description

This project site featured a relatively level building area bordered by a short, steep slope descending to a wetland area. Omega Architects provided schematic site plan design, positioning two 18-unit buildings and one 12-unit building on the site along with required parking, drive lanes and carports. The buildings were all designed to be built along the slope with a mid-level entry on the front side and a lower level walk-out and mid and upper level decks to the rear. All units feature two bedrooms, with all the upper floor units designed with a third, loft bedroom accessed by a steel spiral stair. After schematic site design the owner enlisted the services of a civil engineer to provide, final site construction documents including storm water detention, soil erosion control, wetlands issues and all required municipal approvals. All units were positioned for maximum visual enjoyment of the heavily wooded wetlands.
