Description

This interior and exterior renovations of a former supermarket emphasized some of the particular design sensibilities of Omega Architects. Taking directions from the new tenant, the building owner, and the township authorities, Omega Architects needed to redesign the building exterior in a manner that coordinated with the previously redesigned adjacent strip mall yet allowing for more signage space for the tenant, less costly construction detailing, and a more watertight design. Omega Architects designed the entire site including the outdoor sales and storage area, landscape screenings, and parking space modifications. Portions of the interior partitions were removed and existing multi-height ceilings and bulkheads were seamlessly transitioned into new ceiling areas.

The owner of Family Farm and Home was honored with a Community Beautification award from the Allendale Chamber of Commerce for the renovations done to the former supermarket and adjacent site.
