Description

The Muskegon Community College Library/Information Technology Center (LiT) provides blending architecture with the natural beauty of the campus setting. Situated immediately adjacent to Four Mile Creek, the north elevation three story glass curtainwall allows for natural lighting and wonderful viewing. The LiT offers students and staff state of art technology allowing for the ability to remain competitive in the ever changing world of Higher Education.

LEED friendly attributes include reflective roofing membrane and roof gardens, water and energy saving components, advanced lighting controls, material re-use and material recycling.

The building's location dictated egress be maintained throughout the construction process necessitating strict controls and appropriate construction techniques without impacting the campus ecosystem. The project was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.
