Notre Dame University wanted a retail and condominium corridor just south of the campus. The Foundry at Eddy Street Commons was a concept at the University for four or five years before they teamed up with Kite Realty Group, who had built similar projects in Indianapolis. Along with the city of South Bend, Notre Dame and Kite Realty Group have built one of the most stunning projects the area has seen.
