Working With Templates
Each page or portion of a page that you can customize within Ascribe is represented by a template. Templates contain a combination of HTML code and Liquid markup. There are four templates available for customization:
- Layout
- This template contains the overall skeleton of your site: the wrapper that the other templates slide into. Things like the headers, footers, and other common elements would go best here.
- Home
- This template determines how your main portfolio page looks. This would be a good place to show your company description, contact info, and perhaps a few recent projects.
- Portfolio
- This template handles the pages displaying a list of projects. You might configure which project details show in the list, modify the number of projects on a page, or change the order of the projects.
- Project
- This template determines how each individual project looks. You can customize how the project photos are displayed, move the description around, or highlight a specific project detail.
Association users have three additional templates available for customization.
