Description
The Feyen Zylstra team designed the electrical system of Amway’s Catalog Distribution Facility concurrently with the installation. A challenge with this fast-track project was that the power and distribution system were sized and located prior to the final decisions on the conveyor and process systems; exact positioning of the lighting and branch circuits was required to coordinate with the 35-foot racks and pick isles not yet erected. By careful coordination and value engineering, the design and construction team were able to complete this project on schedule and substantially under-budget.
