Feyen Zylstra designed and installed the upgraded cabling infrastructure at the Blodgett Campus of the Spectrum Health system. The project team used 190 miles of Avaya Category 6 cable to connect over 5200 locations to the network. Extensive firestopping was installed to bring the campus up to code. The fiber backbone and inter-building connections were also replaced. Because the work needed to be done without any interruption to the hospital’s services, the project team worked during all shifts to have minimal impact.
