Feyen Zylstra’s Communications group was contracted to install the communications cabling infrastructure for the Spectrum Health Heart Center. The design includes more than 4800 Systimax Category 6 cables. The cabling supports all the voice and data needs as well as the patient monitoring system. The project also includes 19 telecommunications closets with redundant fiber optic loops routed to each. A high degree of project management and coordination with other trades was required to achieve a successful installation.
