Description

This residential development is located on a 1.02 acre site in the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The project includes seven townhouse buildings containing two to four condominium units in each building, totaling 20 residential units and a common house, two garages and a carport. This project required design and reconstruction of the public cul-de-sac and relocation of various public and private utilities. Coordination with the City of Grand Rapids Environmental Services and Engineering Departments were instrumental in this project. Driesenga & Associates, Inc.’s services included conceptual site layout and utility design, Planned Redevelopment District (PRD) approval and final construction documents and specifications. Final construction drawings included approved City of Grand Rapids documents for work within the public right of way. Coordination with the owner, City, public and private utilities were required for the vacation of the existing alley. The stormwater management design included a below grade stormwater filtration, detention and infiltration system.
