Description

The 17-acre Kingfisher Cove Planned Unit Development contains 29 year-round cedar cabin style homes arranged to fit within the existing woodlands adjacent to Goshorn Lake.

The waterfront cottage community was designed to promote the enjoyment of the pristine wooded wetland environment and boasts miles of nature trails and boardwalks.

Amenities include an outdoor pool and changing house, fishing dock, and proximity to Lake Michigan and the picturesque Saugatuck/Douglass area. With 11-acres preserved for open space this development provides a relaxing retreat for residents and visitors alike.

Driesenga & Associates, Inc. provided Land Planning, Boundary and Topographic surveying, Civil Engineering, Material Testing and Inspection services, along with the coordination of submittals to the Township, County, and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ).

One part of the submittal approved by the MDEQ was a plan package for an elevated wetland and lakeside boardwalk that guided users through the forested wetland before emerging to a view of Goshorn Lake.
