Description

In an effort to make room for the upcoming new high school construction, Otsego Public Schools pursued development of neighboring lands to relocate their athletic, alternate education, and maintenance facilities. Athletic improvements include development of competition and practice baseball and softball diamonds, field event facilities and general practice fields. A new maintenance facility was constructed including bus maintenance and storage, grounds facilities and office space. The alternative education program was provided with a separate facility set away from the primary campus. Driesenga and Associates, Inc. provided preliminary survey, geotechnical engineering, site design, construction layout and materials testing throughout the development process. Specifics to design included private utility extensions, parking lot and building site design, athletic facilities designed to National Federation of State High School Association standards, and MDOT highway improvements.
