Description

This project was a freeway reconstruction of 9.399 km (5.84 mi) of concrete freeway on I-69 from State Road north to Girard Road The project also consisted of reconstruction of the Jonesville Road interchange, and rehabilitation of I-69 Northbound and Southbound over Hog Creek (2 structures), in Coldwater and Girard Townships of Branch County, Michigan. As a subcontractor to Interstate Highway Construction, Inc., Driesenga & Associates, Inc. supplied warranty inspection, contractor quality control testing for the roadway concrete, roadway patches, and bridge deck overlays. The warranty inspection involved pavement inspection and record keeping of pay items. The construction materials testing of concrete included: slump, air checks, temperature, making compressive strength cylinders, and yield calculations. In addition, Driesenga & Associates, Inc. also supplied Interstate Highway Construction, Inc. with staking which included, bridge footing and wall layouts, pier layout, slope staking, pavement layout, utility layout and as-built topographic surveys.
