Description

Ice Mountain (a division of Nestle Waters) began construction of a new spring water bottling plant near Stanwood, Michigan in 2001. This plant was constructed to meet the growing demands of the bottled water market in the Midwest.

Driesenga & Associates, Inc. provided construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering services throughout the course of construction of the plant and subsequent additions. Construction materials testing included: asphalt, soils, concrete, masonry and steel testing and inspections.

Geotechnical engineering services were also provided. A subsurface exploration was conducted, outlining subsurface soil conditions, and recommendations for development of the site foundation construction.
