Originally constructed as an Elks Club, the building was renovated for the new Headquarters buiding for Clark Construction Company. The design for the renovation of the building was to make a corporate statement for Clark as a premier construction company. Materials chosen for the renovation were inspired by projects built by Clark Construction in Northern Michigan.
