The Architectural Group

The property for the library was gifted to the Township with the stipulations that the library be designed to reflect the historical significance of the property. The property was the original site of an interurban railway station that operated between Grand Rapids and the lakeshore in the early 1900s. The library opened in December 1999, and TAG designed the building interior and exterior to look like a turn of the century train station.
