Design Plus
Design Plus provided complete architectural and engineering services, structural engineering consultant coordination, and site/landscape services for the 12,132 SF addition to and remodeling of the existing north campus Kleiner Commons food service building. Areas expended included the servery, seating area, a convenience store, food preparation areas, storage, receiving, and office area. The project was completed in the fall of 2000 with a total construction budget of $1,400,000.

The original 6,000 sq. ft. building was transformed into a 12,000 sq. ft. campus meeting place for students to eat, study, or socialize around the clock. An attractive brick facade with decorative awnings and prominent entrance vestibules add to the appeal. In addition to an expanded kitchen and convenience store, Kleiner Commons offers a coffee shop with fireplace, sports bar, an internet cafe, and a multi-purpose dining room
