Descriptions
Exxel Engineering
EXXEL ENGINEERING provided complete site plan design and construction plan preparation for the Breton campus, including obtaining approvals and permits. We also did construction staking, surveying and easement preparation. An interesting fact...the Breton Woods building is the size of the ark Noah and his family built and launched to survive the flood (Genesis 6, 7 and 8).
Soils & Structures, Inc.
Soils & Structures, Inc. provided site work materials testing for Exxel Engineering and construction materials testing for Holland Homes. Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering were also provided for Post Associates.
Driesenga & Associates
Michigan’s largest continuing care retirement community. The campus allows individuals to grow through their later years with the familiarity of community and friends by providing multiple housing options ranging from independent living to fully staffed nursing facilities. The grounds are completely manicured and incorporate a diverse range of plantings to ensure color and visual interest throughout the year. The grounds are kept green in part by an irrigation system that recycles storm water from the retention ponds. Provided complete Landscape and Irrigation packages for several phases of the growing community. Beginning with conceptual design, our attention to detail carried through construction and bidding documentation. The outdoor gathering space is an example of the care given to provide an area for conversation and seating without encroaching on the ground floor patios. Work completed by Driesenga staff while employed by RJM Design, Inc.
