IMAX Theatres have a reputation for larger-than-life screens and outstanding audio quality and performance. At Acoustics By Design, our professional engineers made recommendations for architectural acoustics and noise isolation for the IMAX Theatre at Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We developed criteria for reverberation time, mechanical noise control, and interior and exterior noise isolation in an effort to optimize the theatre for audio performance.

Even before construction began, we used 3D computer modeling to simulate the room's aural response.  Comprehensive recommendations were made to cover every aspect of acoustical design. Our final report gave Celebration Cinema the information necessary to provide an exceptional IMAX experience for all their movie guests.
