The professional engineers at Acoustics By Design made detailed noise measurements at the Perrigo Corporation in Allegan, Michigan. Perrigo is the nation’s largest manufacturer of over-the-counter drugs. Perrigo had several acoustical issues.  In one area of the facility, the training room was impacted by excessive noise from an adjacent mechanical room.  The high noise levels made it difficult for employees to understand and concentrate on new procedures and strategies.  In another area of the facility, large dust collectors created noise levels that were annoying for the workers.  Our measurements led us to several noise mitigation solutions for their large dust collector machines. These detailed observations and specifications helped Perrigo stay within the legal decibel levels for industrial manufacturing facilities.
