Award Description
The Fitzgerald Condos consist of 39 stylish and unique condominiums that range from 900 sf. to 3,800 sf. The existing building, originally built in 1915, is a concrete and steel-frame structure with masonry veneer and original limestone embellishments, detailed cornice work, and historically accurate double-insulated Palladian windows. The interior finishes consist of a wood-paneled lobby, luxurious library, deluxe lounge with kitchen and dining areas, state-of-the-art fitness center, secure in-building parking, and a gorgeous, park-like garden area on the roof complete with benches, scenic walkways, fountain, gas grills, and a custom-made spa to truly elevate the concept of outdoor living.
Project challenges included construction of a parking structure within in the building where the pool was originally located, as well as maintaining the historical integrity of the building façade while adding windows and decks.
