Award Description

Reserve Wine Bar, located in the Windquest Building downtown Grand Rapids, was created out of the historic Commercial Savings Bank. The Reserve is considered one of Michigan’s premier wine bars with over 100 wines available by the glass and 200 bottles to choose from. The Reserve occupies the basement, first and second floors of the building. With a very tight schedule, we procured and installed 363 high-end and custom light fixtures and almost 40,000 feet of wire into the building while preserving the original plaster molding and marble wainscoting. Most of the walls and ceilings in the main bar area are original. Some other challenges included installation of fixtures into custom case work and bar table tops, installation of a high-end lighting control system and coordination and staging materials off-site due to virtually no on-site storage capacity. We enjoyed the project and ended it with a toast!
