Award Description
The Crescent Residence Hall on the York Hill Campus at Quinnipiac University is a sustainable and energy efficient nine story residence hall. The design for the project incorporates open spaces and a full glass study lounge on the upper floors to take advantage of the neighboring mountainous landscape. Challenges with this project included accelerated schedule which required increased coordination amongst trades. To expedite the mechanical installation, Main Enterprises implemented the use of AutoCAD to fabricate ductwork in advance to avoid field measuring and a construction lag during fabrication. The first phase of the Crescent Residence Hall came together on time and now houses approximately 500 Quinnipiac Students.
