Award Description
The project was undertaken in a fully occupied and operating nursing home environment. Operations were completed with minimal interference into the daily operations of Saint Mary Home. Kronenberger & Sons Restoration's attention to safety, health and fire code concerns enabled us to complete this project without incident and to the appreciation of the owner. Time constraints were evident from the onset as the end date could not be changed due to a previously scheduled dedication ceremony with the Archbishop. Despite the unexpected problems that occur with any renovation of this historic nature, the owner dedicated the newly named Archbishop John F Whealon Chapel of Our Lady of Mercy as scheduled on Friday December 12, 2008.
Kronenberger & Sons Restoration Inc. acknowledges the cooperative efforts of Amenta/Emma Architects and the owner Mercy Community Health that contributed to the success of this project.
