Award Description
This $1.6M project was a fast track (3.5 months) interior fit-up of a recently completed LEED Gold certified core/shell office for software powerhouse Autodesk. This was also the very first IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) project in the Northeast. Interstate was part of the core IPD team that would enable Autodesk to realize their vision for a new, exciting, expressive and platinum LEED certified 61,000 square foot office space.
Autodesk was an active participant using this project to test their Revit software as a cross-functional building information modeling platform. In doing so they purposefully compressed the project schedule -- with the goal that the project would serve as a “proof of concept” that a revolutionary project management model (IPD) combined with the latest in 3D CAD visualization software could enable a project team to deliver an ultra high quality, fast tracked end product with the LEED points required for platinum certification.
